Within the ARISE network project, the National Report for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Policy brief were implemented. The National Report for Bosnia and Herzegovina addresses issues related to injustice and inequality as a consequence of poverty, and policies aimed at reducing them. Special attention is paid to inequalities in education. In addition, within the Policy brief for Bosnia and Herzegovina, the problems in education in Bosnia and Herzegovina were highlighted, and statistical data on the impact of poverty on education were presented.

In order to gain insight into respect for sexual and reproductive health rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a survey was conducted in accordance with an internationally recognized methodology developed by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Within the first phase of the research, Mapping of legislation and institutional mechanisms was realized. In the second phase, a survey was conducted in the FBiH, Republika Srpska and Brčko District of BiH, which included several methods of data collection: surveys, interviews, focus groups, public discussions. During the second phase, additional research was conducted in order to collect additional data related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the availability and quality of services in this area. Additional research was conducted in Sarajevo, Mostar, Tuzla, Banja Luka, Bijeljina and Livno, and included the collection of quantitative and qualitative data on a sample of service users aged 18 to 49. Also, the research included conducting interviews with service providers, employees of health care institutions in the public sector. The following topics were covered: Prenatal, intrapartum and 42 days postpartum care of women; Protection against unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections; Abortion; Breast and cervical cancer; Comprehensive sexuality education.
